IGP Marathon | What is it?
It is a day on which I organise a free, short training session for working dogs that are due to take psychotechnical tests, start an IGP course or are preparing for IGP competitions.
Can other dogs take part in the IGP Marathon?
The IGP Marathon is also open to people who would eventually like to train in civil defence, or service dog handlers accompanied by their dogs.
Can I bring a puppy?
Yes, you can bring a puppy (of a defence breed) aged 3 months or older to the training session.
What should I bring to the IGP Marathon?
Please bring the following:
- a lead
- a collar,
- a harness (if you have one),
- treats
- your dog’s health record with up-to-date vaccinations,
What does the training involve?
- A training session lasts a maximum of 15 minutes.
- Training will be tailored to your dog’s level, age and abilities.
- We guarantee equipment suitable for IGP.
- 2 instructors on the training ground
Training is free of charge.
Conditions for taking part in the free training session
- You have never trained with me before
- A completed training registration form.
