Defence Training – Cane Corso
Defence Training
with a Cane Corso is not always straightforward. Most dogs of this breed arrive with issues such as timidity or, conversely, aggression. More often, however, we are dealing with the former. Below is a video showing training with a dog who was timid in the early stages of training. However, we managed to get him back on the right track and are now training him in defence work, taking it one small step at a time. The training focuses partly on improving his grip (on the sleeve) and partly on responding appropriately in stressful situations so that he can defend his owner.
The next stages of training are barking and escorting. This is not a dog that will be competing in Mondioring.
